A Sword Saint is a Knight who has mastered every Blade Art in all aspects. Few manage to reach this aspiration. Those who do are chosen by the gods, granted the runes first gifted to Saint Elena. As such, they are the de facto leader of Avalon, surpassing even the Archbishop, although historically all Sword Saints have relinquished the mantle once there was no longer a pressing need.
